Governors of New York State |

What am I up to now? I figured that since I'm almost done with the U.S. Presidents, what am I going to do next? After seeing Frank McGady's Dead Governors of New Jersey Site, I decided to steal his idea and find the gravesites of all the Governors of New York. I thought it would be pretty easy because of all the NYS Governors that served as President (there are 4) or Vice-President (4, not including the 2 that where promoted) or those that ran lost an election for President or Vice - President (too many to count, but I'll get back to you on this one.) It will be tougher then I thought because first of all, NY is a big state. It 's over a 10 hour drive from corner to corner. And, there is the New York City factor. Many are buried down there and I don't get there too often. And lastly, accessibility. Nelson Rockefeller's grave is on private property and Joseph C. Yates final resting place is unknown. So the adventure begins... |
